COVID-19 Update

We here at OSIYA pray and hope that all of us are safe and in good health and spirits during this pandemic which has engulfed everyone around us. We are sure that with precaution and by adhering to the guidelines as issued by the Health Authorities from time to time we can prevent this virus and overcome it.

Even before this pandemic our hotels have always maintained the standards of hygiene and cleanliness for the comfort and wellbeing of our guests. With the present SITUATION we reaffirm and ensure all our patrons and visitors that the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness is being maintained with additional care and zeal.

The following guidelines as issued by the Local Authorities are being implemented for the safety of all the visitors as well as the staff members.

  • Physical distancing of at least 6 feet to be followed as far as feasible.

  • Use of face covers/masks to be made mandatory for all the guests and staff members.

  • Practice frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made wherever feasible. Hand Sanitizers are placed at all Entry & Exit Points.

  • Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.

  • Self-monitoring of health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest to state and district helpline.

  • Spitting is strictly prohibited and carries a fine.

  • Installation and use of Aarogya Setu app is mandatory to all those entering the Hotel Premises.

  • At the Entrance we have mandatory hand hygiene (sanitizer dispenser) and thermal screening provisions.

  • Only asymptomatic staff and guests are allowed.

  • All staff and guests to be allowed entry only if using face cover/masks. The face cover/masks has to be worn at all times inside the hotel.

  • Staff is additionally wearing gloves and is taking all required precautionary measures.

  • All are employees are well within the age of 50 years and have had a complete medical checkup before joining their respective duties.

  • There is proper crowd management in the hotel as well as in outside premises and large gatherings/congregations are prohibited.

  • We have  separate entry and exits for guests, staff and goods/supplies. 

  • Details of the guest (travel history, medical condition etc.) along with ID and self-declaration form is provided by the guest at the reception.

  • Hand sanitizers are kept at the reception for guests to use. Guest must sanitize hands before and after filling relevant forms including Check-In register.

  • It is possible to check in online by sending us the required ID proof and check in time . We ensure minimum contact Check-In and Check Out Process.

  • Luggage is disinfected before sending the luggage to rooms.

  • Guests who are at higher risk i.e. those who are older, pregnant or those who have underlying medical conditions are advised to take extra precautions.

  • Guests are advised not to visit areas falling with in containment zone. The details of such zones is available at the Reception Desk.

  • Maximum precautions are taken while handling supplies, inventories and goods in the hotel.

  • Appropriate personal protection gears like face covers/masks, gloves and hand sanitizers shall be made available by hotel to the guests at additional costs.

  • We encourage our in house guests to order In Room Dining . The server shall leave the food at the door and there shall be no direct contact with the server.

  • Effective and frequent sanitation within the premises is maintained with particular focus on lavatories, drinking and hand washing stations/areas.

  • Cleaning and regular disinfection (using 1% sodium hypochlorite) of frequently touched surfaces (door knobs, elevator buttons, hand rails, benches, washroom fixtures, etc.) is done in all guest service area and common areas.

  • Proper disposal of face covers / masks / gloves left over by guests and/or staff is ensured.

  • Deep cleaning of all washrooms is ensured at regular intervals.

  • Rooms and other service areas is sanitized each time a guest leaves.

  • In the kitchen the staff is maintaining the social distance and sanitization and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces is done at regular intervals.

In case of a suspect or confirmed case in the premises:

  • The ill person is placed in a room or area where they are isolated from others.

  • Is provided a mask/face cover till such time he/she is examined by a doctor.

  • We immediately inform the nearest medical facility (hospital/clinic) and call the state or district helpline.

  • A risk assessment will be undertaken by the designated public health authority (district RRT/treating physician) and accordingly further action be initiated regarding management of case, his/her contacts and need for disinfection.

  • Disinfection of the premises to be taken up if the person is found positive.
